Hi, 👋
I’m Geonwoo Kim (김건우).

ABOUT
I’m Geonwoo Kim, a mechanical engineering student passionate about robotics and creating technologies that help people in their everyday lives. I enjoy exploring how machines can sense, move, and interact safely with the world. What motivates me most is building systems that are both useful and accessible.

I’ve been fortunate to work on a variety of projects—from robot navigation to sensing and perception—which helped me discover how much I enjoy solving real-world problems. These experiences taught me to approach challenges with curiosity, persistence, and a desire to understand how things work at a deeper level. They also shaped my long-term goal of contributing to human-centered robotics.

Outside of engineering, I value community and service. I’ve volunteered with organizations that support immigrants and underserved groups, and these experiences continually remind me why I want my work to have a positive impact. I hope to keep growing as a researcher and as a person, and to build technologies that meaningfully improve people’s lives.
