Hi, 👋
I’m Geonwoo Kim (김건우).

ABOUT
I’m Geonwoo Kim, an incoming Master of Science student in Mechanical Engineering (Research) at Carnegie Mellon University and passionate about robotics and creating technologies that help people in their everyday lives. I enjoy exploring how machines can sense, move, and interact safely with the world. What motivates me most is building systems that are both useful and accessible.
My research interests lie at the intersection of robot learning, autonomous navigation, control theory, and safe AI — areas I see as deeply interconnected in the pursuit of building intelligent physical systems that are both capable and trustworthy. I am driven by the challenge of deploying autonomous agents in the real world: systems that can learn from interaction, reason under uncertainty, adapt to complex environments, and operate with provable safety guarantees alongside humans.
